PDF Purchase Currently Not Available January 1, 2015
Hi everyone! I hope you are all well and recovering from Christmas. With the new year, I have to stop selling the PDF as a purchase on my site due to some new EU wide VAT regulation changes.
Those wonderful people in Brussels have decided that anyone selling digital goods to member states have to track purchases made in each state, keep two non-contradictory bits of information about the customers location and pay VAT to the country the customer is in. Oh, and we also need to register for VAT in all 28 members states!
For more information, please see this HMRC information. This is beyond most small sellers capabilities, so I have decided to stop selling the PDF version for now.
You can still purchase the Kindle and paperback versions from Amazon as before. As they are the merchant, they are responsible for the tracking of sales, VAT, etc. This means I do not have to worry about the new rules.Please feel free to leave me a review when you have read my book.
